MEP

 

Pre-entry Requirements

A JAA PPL is a minimum requirement. You require 70 hours as pilot in command of aeroplanes before applying for your Multi-engine piston rating (MEP (Land) Rating) and so we would recommend you have this requirement prior to commencing this course

 

 

The Flying Course

6 hours of flight time in multi-engined aircraft including:

  • 2.5 hours under “normal” conditions
  • 3.5 hours under asymmetric conditions
  • Skill Test

Groundschool

  • 7 hours theoretical knowledge instruction
  • Pass a written theoretical knowledge examination (pass mark 75%)

What you can do with your new skills

Fly as pilot-in-command of an aircraft in the Multi-engine Piston (Land) class.
