Cabair’s ATPL online Question Bank will enhance your learning and revision of the 14 ATPL subjects as well as enabling you to practice the JAA exams under simulated exam conditions. We have named it FlexiBank for reasons that will become very clear when you start to use it.
For each subject you purchase you have complete control over which questions you answer enabling you to match them to your learning or revision requirements. You may choose questions covering a range of topics, or select questions covering just one specific topic.
For example in Meteorology you could select all 1,283 Meteorology questions, or, just one of 41 topics which range from The Atmosphere (208 questions) to Hazards in Mountainous Areas & Reduced Visibility (6 questions).
The Test Settings provide more flexibility enabling you to personalise the way you use the question bank. Here’s how:
Automatic Page Turning
You can adjust the speed at which the next question appears, after you have selected your answer for the current question, by entering a number of seconds delay within the Test Settings.
Keyboard Activation
Using the keyboard letters A, B, C & D you can select your preferred answer and with the left and right arrow keys easily and very rapidly navigate through all the questions or simply to either the previous and next question. Therefore, in combination with the Automatic Page Turning you can really test yourself under pressurised conditions!
Favourites List/Retest
The Retest facility allows you to save a list of your favourite questions on any subject or topic you feel you want to concentrate on. This is particularly usefully for last minute revision. Specific questions can be selected and retained on this list to make life easy for you while you use FlexiBank.
Exam Conditions
As part of your revision for any subject you can sit a Mock JAA Exam which provides immediate feedback and allows you to modify the test settings. For real exam practice sit the JAA Exam which simulates the actual exam conditions as closely as possible. To duplicate the ATPL exam the official JAA specified number of questions from each nominated topic within the subject is randomly selected. The exam conditions are simulated including the allocated time, although unlike the real exam you will actually be able to continue to answer all the questions.
Feedback
Immediate feedback will show whether your answer is correct or incorrect. Additionally, there is additional feedback providing the answers to mathematical and theoretical questions.
Manuals, Publications and Charts
To gain maximum benefit from some subjects you will need access to Civil Aviation Publications (CAPs) issued by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) plus charts and other information from the Jeppesen Student Pilot Route Manual.
